On March 27, students at high schools and colleges throughout the US and Canada will be hosting protest to demand that their schools sever ties with Coca-Cola. Students are outraged that their schools are continuing to do business with a company that has been connected to the murder of union leaders in Colombia, the environmental devastation of communities in India, and severe anti-union busting in Turkey, Indonesia, Guatemala and elsewhere. Register Today for the USAS Summer Conference from August 8-10 in Boulder, Colorado!
This summer, hundreds of students from throughout the US and Canada will be gathering in Boulder, Colorado for the United Students Against Sweatshops summer conference.  From August 8-10, students will be participating in skill building workshops, strategizing around winning our campaigns, hearing from workers, participating in anti-oppression trainings, and meeting up with students from hundreds of other schools.  If you are interested in attending then click here to register.
 
The University of Illinois Kicks Coke Off Campus!
The University of Illinois has just joined the growing list of schools that have kicked Coca-Cola off campus in response to their human and environmental rights abuses around the world.  Students throughout the US and Canada are campaigning to ensure that Coke take responsibility for their participation in the murder of union leaders in Colombia, environmental devastation in India, and union busting in Turkey, Indonesia, Guatemala, the United States, and elsewhere.  If you are interested in supporting the organizing efforts of Coke workers around the world by taking action on your own campus then email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
 
Marquette University Signs on to the DSP!
After a year-long student campaign, Marquette University has become the 37th school to adopt the Designated Suppliers Program.  Marquette now joins schools like the University of California, University of Wisconsin, Georgetown University, and the University of Washington in demanding that their university apparel is produced in factories where workers earn a living wage and have the right to form a union.  If you are interested in adding your school to this list then email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
